Unfortunately there have been different degrees of success. In a page from 2012 we found the following groups mentioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chilterns &amp; Thames Valley Group of Astronomical Societies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>North-West Group of Astronomical Societies (NWGAS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sagasonline.org.uk\/\">Southern Area Group of Astronomical Societies (SAGAS)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yorkshire Group of Astronomical Societies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Midlands Federation of Astronomical Societies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the best of our knowledge, SAGAS is the only formal group which is still active. <a href=\"https:\/\/fedastro.org.uk\/fas\/contact-us\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"85\">Let us know<\/a> if you know better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-eric-zucker-award-1a5687d1-d5b8-4a72-b4fd-4fbd560d1fd6\">The Eric Zucker Award<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The FAS presented the annual Eric Zucker Award to a person who has done a great deal of work for the astronomical community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last mention of it was in 2011. We will investigate more to find out what happened.
