Annual \u2018StarFest\u2019 Star Party<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

9th \u2013 12th August 2024<\/strong> – Adderstone Field, Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scarborough & Ryedale Astronomical Society’s (SARAS) annual “StarFest” star camp returns for three nights of stargazing and astrophotography in the wonderful surroundings of our \u201cMilky Way\u201d class Dark Sky Discovery Site of Dalby Forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The large field at Adderstone is well drained & we can accommodate caravans, motor homes and tents.

As for previous years, we are able to accommodate early arrivals for those who have a long way to travel, and for members who wish to take advantage of an extra night on the Thursday night (8th August).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from the dark skies, we hope to have trade stands in attendance, a range of talks throughout the weekend, our annual bottle rocket building competition and of course the Astro Pub Quiz on the Sunday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
