The Federation of Astronomical Societies (FAS) supports astronomical societies, astronomy clubs, and amateur astronomy groups by providing practical services, shared resources, and opportunities to connect with the wider amateur astronomy community.
Established in 1974, the Federation now brings together nearly 200 affiliated societies across the United Kingdom and overseas.

- Supporting astronomy outreach and public engagement.
- Sharing knowledge, experience and good practice.
- Providing practical services that help societies thrive.
- Representing the interests of affiliated societies where appropriate.
