This years FAS Convention will be held on Saturday 9th October at Institute of Astronomy, Cambridge. Tickets are £5 each and are available on the door (there will be no advanced ticket sales this year). This years speakers are: Prof. Philippa Browning ‘Our Active Sun’, Dr Peter Wheatley ‘Hunting for extra-solar planets using small telescopes’, Prof. Tim Naylor ‘Star and Planet Formation’ and Jerry Stone “Visiting the Lord of the Rings”. The convention doubles up as the FAS AGM and the agenda for the AGM is also available .
